A Weekend Wrapped in Jewellery (and the Weather!)

This weekend was all about jewellery, people, and a fair bit of unpredictable weather.

Saturday started early and was an outdoor event in Northwich. It was quite cold and turned rather blustery later in the afternoon, but it was absolutely worth it. I met some truly lovely customers and had some great conversations: hearing what people look for in jewellery, and discussing how I design and make my pieces is one of my favourite parts of events like these. The highlight sale of the day was a stunning dichroic glass and sterling silver handcrafted ring that a customer fell in love with, and even better, it happened to be her size!

Sunday was much closer to home, with a later start and a welcome move indoors. Despite the forecast promising sunshine, we were treated to spectacular hailstorms and some rain instead. Even so, customers still came along, some of them popping in purely to escape the sudden downpours after getting caught out in Sefton Park! It turned into another lovely day of chats and sales, with lots of silver rings finding new homes. A highlight was seeing a returning customer, who chose a gorgeous blue dichroic Murano glass pendant and earrings set.

Today, I’m feeling tired but very happy after a weekend filled with jewellery, conversations, and creativity. Now it’s time to head to my jewellery bench, and make up ring orders in customer-specific sizes – the perfect way to round off a really lovely weekend.
